          She was a bus driver before she became the first Filipino-Canadian to be elected as MLA in 2009. She is now the Deputy Finance Critic and Critic for ICBC, and before she was the Critic for Multiculturalism and Child Care and Early Learning.

          Her past campaigns focused on public transit funding, social justice and equality issues.
