          Biography

          Ambrosius was born about 0420.

          He passed away at about 0470. He was possibly a member of the Roman family gens Aurelia.[1]

          He was called the "Last of the Romans" by Gildas and was an essential leader against the Anglo-Saxon invasion of Sub-Roman Britain.[2] He was implied to have been the commander of the British forces at the Battle of Badon Hill by Gildas.[3] It is important to note that Gildas said he was born the same year as the battle and is near contemporary to the events he is talking about and that a man named Arthur does not appear in his accounts, but Ambrosius does
